Palm Springs Pointe is an affordable senior community comprised of 1-bedroom apartments.  The property serves low to very low-income households. Tax-exempt bond financing was provided by the California Housing Finance Agency.  Low Income Housing Tax Credits were acquired by JP Morgan. The City of Palm Springs provided a favorable ground lease extension, which was a key to the project’s finance structure.
 
Renovation highlights included: a new roof, energy efficient windows and patio doors, paint, landscaping, pool deck with trellis, heating and cooling systems, paving with improved site accessibility, signage, nurse call panel, fire safety system, upgraded elevators and remodeled lobby and corridors. Kitchens and bathrooms received new cabinets, countertops, appliances, plumbing fixtures, flooring and energy efficient lighting. Additionally, a new community room and computer learning center were added to enhance the lives of the residents.
